Our Projects
The Community Education and Child Development Wing of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Religious and Charitable Trust was established in 2024 for child welfare, and community empowerment across Odisha.
The Wing is headed by our young volunteer Bhavdeep Singh who has completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Conestoga College, Canada and is currently pursuing BA in History from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha. He has also completed several UNICEF-certified courses which have enhanced his understanding of child development, child protection and child centric learning.
Established with the objective of supporting underserved communities, this wing designs and implements structured initiatives that promote educational and creative programs with children which include early learning, art & craft activities, personal development, and social well-being for children from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. .
Our weekly programs focus on teaching children the importance of sustainability, such as creating art from recycled and waste materials, promoting awareness about reusing and mindful consumption.
Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Religious and Charitable Trust, Puri (Odisha) is deeply committed to the spirit of Sarbat da Bhala β the welfare of all humanity. Through this initiative, the Trust regularly provides nutritious meals and essential food support to underprivileged children, daily wage workers, pilgrims, and families facing food insecurity across different regions of Odisha. The program is driven by the Sikh principle of Langar Seva, where every individual is served equally without discrimination of caste, creed, religion, or background.
Our volunteers and sewadars work tirelessly to ensure that no one sleeps hungry. The outreach and coordination of this program in Odisha is led by Outreach Coordinator β Zoravar Singh, who works closely with volunteers and local partners to expand the reach of humanitarian support. Parallel to his involvement in social services, Zoravar is undertaking a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering, focusing on Data Science at KIIT University.
His educational background qualifies Zoravar to apply an analytical approach in dealing with social issues, especially in resource management, decision-making using data, efficient systems, sustainable planning, and informed decision-making in addressing large scale social challenges or operational effectiveness.
Guided by the spiritual vision of Sant Baba Shamsher Singh Ji and Baba Jagdeep Singh Ji, Hunger to Langar transforms hunger into seva, sangat, and Sarbat da Bhala. This initiative is not driven by charity, but by the Sikh principle of sharing, where every child sits together in pangat and partakes in the same meal without discrimination.
Led by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Religious & Charitable Trust, this seva reflects the belief of oneness of humanity and the responsibility to ensure no one sleeps hungry. For two decades, Hunger to Langar has quietly continued its mission, nourishing both bodies and hearts through consistent and selfless seva.
